- Buddhist saying. Lopsided expectations of an evenly and permanently perfect outcome is what sets you up for distorted expectations out of life. Balance is the natural flow and state to which all returns. A perceived loss, brings a gain. Pain triggers growth. Sadness is followed by joy and then sadness again and then joy again. The knowing of such truth can set you free by making you tune into gratitude for what is. NOW
I hear so many say “I am too busy”! Too busy for the gym, too busy to do that class, too busy to go out socialise, too busy to take care of myself, too busy to take time off, too busy to read, and so on.... It’s total BS my friends! What “busy” means is in fact you are 💣 too scared. Scared to try and fail, scared to just simply fail! Scared to confront the truth of the hard work that needs to be put in to even attempt to give yourself a chance at succeeding. Scared even that you actually may succeed! Scared you do not deserve to make it. Scared you are not enough. Not able enough. Not deserving enough. Not to be one of the “lucky ones” who finds things easy. Behind all that procrastination, criticism, self-sabotaging, wasting time, finding excuses and believing in the stories you have yourself made up, there is one ☝️ fear only: fear or not having the necessary skills and having to admit It to yourself. The truth is, your mind is listening and those habits of negative thoughts, will become habits of behaviour the more you engage in them. You can change the story by changing the thoughts first. Whilst you take action! Act yourself into being what you choose to be. Drop the story. Time does not exist. You create time. You always create time for what resonates with your highest values. Whatever those values may be. Your actions are a direct reflection of what matters to you. Your mind and body are doing everything they can to keep you safe! Take pen and paper: 1) Work out what truly matters to you. 2) Identify the limiting beliefs holding you back. 3) Create a new inner dialogue to support the values and the vision you have 4) Act/get to work! That’s the only way. And by attempting to take charge-herein comes fulfilment. The other option is a non option. No joy can come from buying into your own made up story.
